Highly recommend Trillium Woodworks. Dylan was very responsive and a great communicator. He removed a dying arbor vitae and trimmed a large silver maple, and was very courteous in the cleanup of our yard afterwards. Would absolutely rehire for any tree-trimming needs in the future.

If I could give Dylan 6 stars, I would. Dylan arrived on the scene, eyeing the enormous 80 foot Ash tree like he was eyeing an old friend he wanted to make love with. Immediately I could tell he was vibing with his line of work. He then proceeded to tell me about the business, his team, how he would remove the tree, and that he was born more monkey than human. He finished with a very respectable and affordable quote. The communication didn't stop on that day as we arranged things with the neighbors and collaborated with Alliant Energy for multiple days to get electricity taken care of. The day before, he brought some really durable mats to protect his drop zones. The day of, I brought my nephew to watch and talk as he loves to climb and the entire team engaged with us with smiles. Dylan and his entire team went two days straight and were very professional and down to earth the entire time. There was no damage on the ground, and all but the smallest parts of the tree were removed from the property. They did this with a team of three, in the vicinty of 20 feet square. I now have the biggest cat perch in Cedar Rapids, and peace of mind knowing I don't have to worry about an ash tree that could risk multiple properties several years down the road.

Our tree service involved felling, sectioning and removing two substantial trees, one being a 70” diameter Silver Maple, with 7 diverging trunks and an equally impressive Black Locust. Dylan demonstrated careful assessment and applied his armament of evolved skills. All in all, not too shady. “Small, but mighty” may describe Dylan’s Trillium Woodworks and what he brings to the table, is due literally to “conceptionalizing and crafting” that table. Diane and I owe Dylan many thousand cubic yards of thanks for his remarkable service and friendship.

The Trillium team arrived when expected, dropped and removed my dead Pine tree, pruned and cleaned up a Maple tree, trimmed and cleaned up my Pin Oak. All limbs and trunk pieces were hauled away. Communication was great! I highly recommend them.

If you need tree trimming or removal, stop your searching and book these guys. We've used them for trees at two different properties, and each time the work was completed in a timely manner and the area was SPOTLESS of tree debris when they were finished. A fair price for fantastic work.
