Allens Tree Service

On 9/18 Allen’s tree service entered our fenced in backyard and began cutting our tree. Neither me or my husband had called for any tree service. As it turns out they were supposed to be 2 houses down. This man rang our doorbell but I was at work and my husband was sleeping as he works second shift. You could hear in the background of our ring door bell that they were already in the process of cutting our tree. My husband woke up to the noise and stopped him. The man left his business card and left in a hurry before the issue could be resolved. After multiple texts and phone calls trying to get Allen to come clean up the mess they made, they haven’t returned. Our yard has been rendered useless since they left huge branches strewn about the whole yard making it nearly impossible for our dogs to go outside and us unable to use or take care of our yard. I received an accusatory text from Allen asking for money to come clean up their mess insinuating I didn’t care as much as others about my property. I am about to go on maternity leave, have a small toddler and if I wanted my tree to be taken care of I would’ve called someone. He said he would come Saturday 10/4 to clean up but never did. Don’t recommend this guy if you’re looking for “safe, honest, and fair” work as his business card claims.

I have an in town acreage and have only used Allens Tree Service for the last several years. Allens has the most affordable prices in Cedar Rapids, is always prompt, and does excellent work. Always willing to do extra trimming and small jobs at little or no extra cost.

We called multiple tree services in the area and no one would get back to us. Allen answered fast and came out for a quote quickly. He not only listened to exactly what I wanted, but when the day came, he made sure to consult our neighbor also, because our tree affected them also. He and his crew were very respectful and got the job done fast. They did a great job of cleaning up the yard afterwards. If we ever have need of tree services again, Allen is who we will be calling!
