The Owner of Stumpy’s Grinding is Jake. He is very knowledgeable and dependable. His Crew are very hard working and the work gets done in a timely manner. The attention to Details was excellent also. I was praised by my neighbors saying they do an excellent clean up when everything is done. I was also impressed with the reasonable and fair pricing. I would Rate them a 10 ! Found Jake on Nextdoor.com, called him Monday to arrange a quote. He drove about 40 minutes to my house to look at the 3 stumps I needed ground, and came back with a VERY fair prices. The next day he was out there, ground them down and left the yard looking so much better than before. He gets an A++++ for responsiveness, fairness in pricing, communication, thoroughness and cleaning up after. Will call him for the next tree project we have!

Jake came out twice. Once to grind 11(!) stumps the previous owner had hidden in a berm, them to remove the dirt and level the yard. Cleaned up yard, even planted a tree. Absolutely professional and Southern sweet. 5 star service!!

Recently, my insurance contacted me as they were going to cancel our policy, due to tree branches overhanging the roof. I called around for several estimates and met with a few tree guys to have the situation assessed. There are times when the money estimate matters more than the job at hand and then there are times when you meet Jake Richardson with Stumpys Grinding & Tree Service. Jake walked around my yard and really looked at what was needed and even suggested things I hadn't even thought of prior to this. As I explained to him, that when you choose a product or service, based on price, you usually get what you pay for. However, when they showed up on the first day, I was overwhelmed with kindness, politeness, organization, attention to detail and other countless positives that escape my mind. His climbers are without a doubt the craziest guys I've met (in a good way). They ascended these trees like it was nothing, dropping branches as they went up. One guy was in a "trouble tree" for close to two hours. I can't even imagine the stress that puts on one's body. The other guys, I'll call them the gatherers and ground crew, were also so polite and helpful. You watch as they're working and wonder what your yard is going to look like "after the storm", and I'm here to say "WOW"!! It looks better than it did when they arrived, and I'm not even referencing the trees they removed. To say that these guys went above and beyond would be a huge understatement. They will be on my pay it forward list for a long time coming. As a full time Realtor in this crazy market, I have been struggling financially (not complaining), but to have to spend this much to keep an insurance policy that is only $1700, can put a real strain on a person. From the bottom of my heart Jake, thank you so much for your kindness & hospitality.
