Tomahawk Tree Service is truly a professional and trustworthy team! They not only took care of the leaning tree in my backyard that posed a serious safety risk to my house, but also did an excellent job clearing out all the weeds. On top of that, they carefully trimmed and restored the landscape plants that had been neglected for a long time, making my entire backyard look completely renewed. The whole process was efficient, and the crew showed great patience and attention to detail. Their pricing was also very fair, with no hidden charges. I’m extremely satisfied with their work and will definitely call them again for any future tree service needs. Highly recommended!

As a contractor myself, I've hired many tree service companies over the years. I contacted Tomahawk to remove an approximately one hundred foot tall triple trunk tree from a very tight, and difficult to access location. Tomahawk showed up to the job with a full crew of men, a skyhook crane, wood chipper, skidsteer, and truck for hauling. The job was done in a timely, safe, professional way; and at a reasonable price. I would not hesitate using Tomahawk in the future.

They are the epitome of the phrase "good, cheap, fast: pick two", though I will say they weren't awful. We got quotes to remove 2 pretty large trees from our backyard, and Tomahawk was quite a bit cheaper and well-reviewed so we went with them. Sean seemed professional, and they showed up on the promised day and worked quickly to cut the trees, and within a few days the trunks were removed from the street, and within a week (+/- a few days) the stumps were ground up. Those are all "pros" in my mind, and I do want to give them credit where it's due. The issue was HOW the job was done. First off, they needed to use some heavy equipment to remove the tree trunks from the backyard to the front, but they drove the equipment right over our other (otherwise healthy) white oak tree roots, through my fire pit, etc. I had a perimeter of stones around the fire pit that were displaced, and quite a bit of the grass was 'torn up' and left quite muddy. I feel like maybe some plywood down on the terrain would help disperse the weight better? I can cut some slack on some of this though; I expect to have some residual 'clean-up' with this type of job. My bigger problem was the use of the neighboring, healthy white oak tree and how they treated it. They used a limb to secure ropes while cutting down pieces from the diseased tree (which generally isn't necessary) and ended up snapping the limb. They then proceeded to climb my healthy tree with spikes to cut the damaged limb (quite poorly), leaving spike damage in the trunk. We are very particular with our trees and have them surveyed by arborists every few years (no spikes allowed), so the fact that the team just scaled the tree, without notice or permission, to take these actions was very much unappreciated. I then got our regular arborist out to assess the damage, and Tomahawk has essentially ghosted me since I've asked about assistance to help pay for the damage they've caused. At first Sean said he would "check with the owner", but since then he hasn't responded or attempted to contact me at all, and it's now been a few months. So, while I used them because they were cheaper, they're actually causing me more money in the end due to the additional damage they caused. Accidents happen, but I don't think they've handled this professionally, and this is where Tomahawk has dropped the ball in my mind. I'm just glad they didn't drop a limb on my house or caused more severe damage, and I'm chalking it up to a learning experience for me to just avoid the 'cheap' guys. They're cheap for a reason.

We live in Kirkwood (neighborhood in City of Atlanta). Sean from Tomahawk did an excellent job helping evaluate the work we needed. Lamar (crew lead) was also great and took good care of our yard, leading his crew. The whole team is professional and amazing to work with! Would 100% recommend Tomahawk without hesitation.

These are true professionals, they did a quote and returned the next day to get the work done. They removed 4 large dying trees, trimmed some others to keep them healthy and looking good and cleaned the debris . We are very satisfied with the result.
