Takoma Tree Experts

We hired Takoma Tree Svc to cut up and remove a large tree that had fallen during a windstorm. Bill Marvil kept in touch with us while coordinating the day and time, parking arrangements, etc. His crew worked quickly and knew exactly what they were doing; they were very professional. I learned about them from the Consumer Checkbook website, where they got very good ratings. I would not hesitate to hire them again.

They did a great job removing a medium sized tree that was too close to our roof. The stump was left tidy, no branches or anything in our yard, and no damage to any surrounding trees or structure! Easy to communicate with & responsive.

Super friendly group of guys hanging from your trees with chain saws. Watching them work is bananas. We've hired takoma trees twice now, and each time they've been incredibly professional (they do a killer job cleaning up), and friendly. They talk through what their plan is, are able to adjust as needed to align with your goals... it's just a wonderful experience.

Takoma Tree was excellent. I had to get a permit from my local government and they advised me on my options. When I got my permit, they came quickly, and were very careful about taking down a tree that was almost at my property line, without messing up my yard or my neighbor's yard. They were also extremely careful with the many wires that ran through the lower branches of the tree. They are competent, hard working and artful.

Takoma Tree Experts have performed tree work at our house twice - they can schedule on relatively short notice, are very punctual, and do lovely work. Our massive backyard beech tree needed major pruning and rebalancing, work that can often leave a tree looking somewhat hacked up until it fills out again, but the TTE team managed to removed many low hanging large limbs on the side near our house and still keep the tree looking natural and beautiful. The team has also been generous in grinding up additional stick piles from other yard projects, and they do a great job cleaning up after their work. Highly recommend.
