Chozen Gardens

After interviewing several companies, we chose Chozen Gardens to replace the failing retaining wall and fence along our backyard area. Albert was knowledgeable about the work that was needed, made suggestions and listened to our ideas and concerns. During this project, we decided to remove an old fruit tree near the fence too. This tree was removed quickly, stump grinding done and wood chips from the tree spread along the fence. There were a few hiccups during the project, but they were corrected to our satisfaction. Albert's team were punctual, professional and cleaned up after each work day. Would definitely recommend them.

We hired Chozen Gardens to remove some old garden beds and to lay down a flagstone patio then to construct a pergola in their place. He listened to what we were thinking we wanted, offered suggestions and worked with us to keep within a budget. He responded well to calls and texts and corrected any hiccups that arose during the project with no issue. He and his crew were busy with other projects and dealing with bad weather days, so it took some time to get the project done but we were patient, and he didn't take full payment until the work was completed. We also hired his crew to professionally trim an overgrown tree and the results were great.

We called Albert when we were concerned with the health of two of our trees. He worked with us to both diagnose and treat our trees, and we ultimately decided to treat one of them and remove the other. Albert was very supportive and informative through the process, helping us through the difficult process of not only deciding to remove one of our trees, but the removal and stump-grinding itself, as well as just general advice around other trees on our property, with no question to small to go unanswered. When it came time to execute the work, Albert and his team took great care of our property while going through both the treatment and removal process for our trees, and did very professional job with being upfront about cost, scheduling, and scope of work. He very clearly cares about his quality of work, and it showed in every interaction we had with his company.

Albert did some beautiful work with removing trees that were getting too close to the side of my house and interfering with the roof. He was available so quickly and did a wonderful job. Well worth it. Will be using him again for sure!

After requesting five quotes to remove an oak tree—at least 100 years old, possibly 200—that fell in a storm, we chose Chozen Gardens. From the moment I met Albert, I knew he was the one we’d go with, and both of my neighbors felt the same. The tree had fallen across two yards, and even a third neighbor ended up needing tree work. Albert and his team were punctual, professional, and cleaned up after each day. They were even able to start the job the day after giving us the quote. In addition to removing the large oak, they also took down a second oak and a birch tree. I appreciated how knowledgeable they were about the trees—they clearly cared and would have tried to save them if it had been possible. Albert and the rest of the crew were also approachable and easily to communicate with. That’s the difference between someone who understands trees and someone who just cuts them down.
