Just finished pruning my 100+ year old white oak in my front yard in Asheville. Tree was pruned as per the work order that I had asked to be altered to specify what Andrew and I discussed. I even gave suggestions as to how to fix the document. That was ignored by Andrew because we discussed two projects getting limbs off the house promptly then a crew would return later in the fall to prune. This was done but the contract was never changed to reflect that. Bottom line the willow was not trimmed as the contract was amended to say “completed” at a date after I had originally signed it. Also the pruning did not specify removing deadwood from the oak and that was left standing. The very understanding crew informed me that removing the deadwood could be done later by contacting Asheville Arborist. All of this could have been avoided if a proper description , as I asked for, would have been spelled out. Words in contracts matter and you would think that would be part of a trusted business. Very dissatisfied with management but I suspect there is very little of that.

We have relied on Asheville Arborists to take care of our trees for many years and have always been happy with their professionalism, insights and good work! We recently needed to prune trees too close to our house and remove others that had either been traumatized by Helene or were crowding out other trees. Nich helped us develop a plan, and his crew spent a day making it happen. They even finished a little early and reduced the bill accordingly. The property looks better, and the trees are in much better shape. We couldn't be happier with the job they did!

Carl and Daniel from Asheville Arborists did an excellent job trimming small tree branches and bushes at my house and pruning the larger trees. They worked through pouring rain and even went back to make a few extra cuts when I asked with no complaints. My yard looks completely transformed, and the price was very reasonable. I’m extremely pleased and highly recommend them!

I’d been putting off having tree work done since Helene despite a number of trees leaning precipitously towards my house. These guys did a great job explaining the work they were doing and were fast and professional. It was bittersweet removing the trees but it feels great having my peace of mind back. It also feels good knowing that some of the trees I don’t want to lose are being tended to.

Former Loyal Customer - Communication Breakdown with New Management I was a faithful customer of Asheville Arborists for years and always appreciated their skilled crew. Unfortunately, recent experiences with the office management have been deeply disappointing. After Hurricane Helene, I needed to coordinate tree work around HOA contractors clearing storm damage behind my property. I kept the office updated regularly via text and email as the HOA timeline shifted due to circumstances beyond anyone's control. The communication breakdown was significant: I'd ask about one service and get responses about something completely unrelated. When I mentioned the tree tea treatment we'd discussed, I was told they don't offer it - despite it being on our previous communications. Messages seemed to go unread or misunderstood repeatedly. After weeks of trying to coordinate, I was dismissed via text for "confusion of communication and scheduling" - even though I'd been doing my best to keep them informed through multiple channels. As a customer who'd been loyal for years and always accommodating (including when they needed to reschedule), being treated dismissively was hurtful and unprofessional. I still respect the crew's work, but I can't recommend working with the current office management. Clear communication is essential when coordinating tree services, and that's unfortunately not what I experienced.
