Wayne's Tree Service and Stump Grinding

I hired Wayne's Tree Service to remove two large hardwood trees which were dying and both threatening utility lines and posed a threat to falling on the roof of our home. While Wayne's isn't the cheapest option out there, they are certainly among the most experienced (50+ years) professionals and have all of the right gear (see pictures). Hovering directly over utility lines, they did not drop a single twig on those lines! A smaller, cheaper operation would have been much more dicey/dangerous. I was impressed by their attention to safety, their efficiency, their hard work, and their attention to details and care for my property. If you want top notch professionals to get the job done right and efficiently when they say they'll do it, this is your best choice in the Washington, NC area, in my opinion. If you want to go with the cheapest choice, you might find something that better suits your needs, but I am betting it won't go as smoothly as this process went for us. They even spoke highly of some of the smaller operators in our area.

I recently bought a house in Cypress Landing, and my insurance company required that several trees be trimmed. I was referred to Wayne's Tree Trimming. I called and spoke with Wayne Jr, only providing the limited information that I was provided by the insurance company. He came out almost immediately and assessed the property, including a reassessment over the weekend. That Monday their crew showed up as a well-oiled machine: as a limb fell, another crew member was there to retrieve it. They were fast, effective, and efficient, and I did not need to be present. They even provided an areial video of the completed work for me to share with the insurance company. They now have a customer for life!

We needed several tree stumps removed and Wayne’s Tree Service did a great job for us. Wayne responded quickly when I called, stopped by same day to give an estimate and we agreed to his fair price. A couple days later he called to confirm he was coming to do the work and just as he said, he ground the five stumps and now our lawn is level. Wayne is knowledgeable and makes it easy to do business. That’s why i recommend Wayne’s and will definitely use this service again.

Had a tree down across a ditch & over our shed & metal shed after hurricane/tropical storm Debbie. Called Wayne's tree service for estimate, he came out the same day to look at the job, gave us a fair price said it would only take a couple hours. When the work area dried up enough to get the trucks back there, he scheduled us for 7:00 a.m. Monday morning. At 7 a m. sharp they pulled into the yard. Wayne and his two workers got to work right away. We were impressed with how organized & professional they were, keeping safety as a top priority. He even used the grapple arm to pick up the mangled aluminum shed & move it to an area where we could more easily scrap it. I kept the mulch he shredded to use in my garden. They were finished and cleaned up in 1 1/2 hours! Absolutely a top-notch company and we will call them for any future tree work!

The price is good enough not to drive you to sell foot pictures, but not so cheap you worry that you might end up with a tree, taking a nap on your sofa. Good crew, honest and they respect your property. It is really fun to watch them work.
