I recently bought a property that has a significant number of trees. Twenty one trees, several over sixty feet tall, were within one to 30 feet of the home, garage, and shop. I had large trees removed from a previous home, and was not looking forward to going through it again. I searched Google for area tree professionals and submitted my contact information to each of them. Tillamook Tree Service responded in 24 hours and was the only company who replied to my request for a quote. The company owner, Dan Lafferman, visited my property, surveyed the scope of work, and in a couple days I received an electronic quote, and contract for my signature. I received emails prior to the job confirming the start date, discussing my responsibilities (pets, fences, utilities, etc.), and ensuring coordination with the neighbors. The job started on the date and time agreed upon. The tree technicians were friendly and started working immediately. Due to the close proximity to the home, trees were not “fallen” in traditional fashion. Tree technicians climbed trees, established tether lines, and disassembled trees piece by piece. The process appeared complicated, but the crew operated smoothly, and 19 trees were removed from the property on the first day. The technicians arrived the next day on time, and the final two trees were removed by 10 am. Dan completed the final worksite cleanup himself, and conducted an area walkthrough with me to ensure the work met my expectations. The entire project was completed in a day and a half. My career was in the nuclear security world with trained professionals. Working with Tillamook Tree Service had the same “feel”. Correspondence was modern, work was completed per procedures and safety requirements, and the final result made my new home a lot safer. I would recommend Tillamook Tree Service for any tree removal project.

The fourplex that I manage had a tree that was neglected for over a decade. I did a little to thin it, but I knew it needed a professional to trim and thin it. From the first time meeting Dan for the quote, I knew that this was the guy to hire. He was excited to be able to work on the tree and so his love for the work shows in the excellent job that he does. He was great at communicating what needed to be done, when to do it, the schedule, etc. The tree was covered in leaves when he quoted the price and we waited for the leaves to drop which showed that the job was bigger than expected, but he still stood by his quote which was very competative. He did such a great job that I made sure he got a great tip for the extra time he spent on getting everything just right.
