When caring for large trees it really helps to have reliable arborists and tree pruning crews to provide quality annual maintenance. Over the past 25 years, I’ve had Davey Tree carefully prune trees, remove trees and stump grind. Recently, with the guidance of Grace, an arborist with Davey, her skilled tree crew, Filipe, Sebastian and Fermin, completed careful pruning of my favorite Coastal Live Oak. Grace listened and understood how I wanted it thinned, shaped, canopy lifted and surrounding floral beds protected from falling debris. On the scheduled day/time, Filipe, Sebastian and Fermin skillfully scaled through the oak carefully cutting limbs, minimizing impact on the surrounding garden and quickly transferred debris for removal. The trimmers showed expertise by periodically surveying the tree to ensure the correct limbs were selected for removal. Upon completion, the crew did an excellent cleanup of my property and adjoining city sidewalk/street of debris and sawdust from the trimmings. We have used Roy and his crews for over 20 years. The reason you hire a professional Arborist is for their ability to look into the future and understand how to shape and care for your trees today so that they are healthy and looks great in the future. They have successfully maintained six redwood trees, one large live oak, Japanese maple, white birch, and fruit trees. Hiring someone who drives by in their pick up truck will be less expensive but in the long run, your trees will not be healthy Nor they be safe. Like so many other things you get what you pay for. We recently hired Davey Tree of San Jose to plant twenty five, 25 gallon Italian Cypress trees above our pool. This was a huge planting project and we couldn’t be happier! Alexis Johnson, our Davey arborist, was great. She met with us twice before our project started and stopped by several times during the week to support her team members Juan and Sergio who were planting the trees. Juan and Sergio were absolutely fantastic! They were extremely respectful of our property and our newly purchased trees. They both had a wonderful attitude and genuinely wanted to do the best job possible. There wasn’t anything they wouldn’t do. They truly wanted us to be satisfied and to love the end result. Our large palm tree needed it annual trimming especially to eliminate its seeds. We also had a Japanese Maple that succumbed to a disease they are prone to. Salvador, Adam, and Sergio did the usual great and quick job. They let us know when they arrived, confirmed what they would be doing, and after trimming the palm tree they invited me to come look at it to make sure we were satisfied.
