Davey's three-person crew did an amazing job removing a giant Eucalyptus tree from our property. It was probably over 150' tall and had 3 major trunks. They did the removal, chipping, and excellent cleanup on time and with respect to the neighbors on our lane. They also assisted with replacing yard art removed prior to the work and took down an old tree trunk adjacent to the Euc. Nothing was damaged in the process. I highly recommend their services.

We recently had the Davey Tree Company out for emergency work on our Elm tree, as well as some general trimming and pruning around our property. From start to finish, the experience was exceptional. A special shoutout goes to Joseph, who went above and beyond in every way. He arrived promptly, explained the work clearly, and handled our Elm with such care and expertise. You could immediately tell he’s passionate about what he does, and his knowledge and professionalism gave us complete confidence. The team worked efficiently and safely, leaving everything spotless when they were done. Our trees have never looked better, and it’s such a relief knowing our large Elm is healthy and stable again after the storm. We couldn’t be happier with the service and results. We had an old, large Oak that was leaning dangerously close to the house and causing issues with the foundation. Davey's arborist wrote up the tree removal permit and got the permit needed from the City of Palo Alto. Tree removal and stump grinding took only one day, with a highly efficient crew that was very careful when bringing down the large limbs and trunk. Safety was clearly important to the Davey crew. They took the big oak down without any issues to the house, the yard, and the fence that was right next to the oak. Impressive. Clean up took awhile but the team did a really great job. The entire process - from initial contact through city approval and tree removal and stump grinding took six weeks, which was pretty fast considering we needed a permit from the city. The cost was competitive with others we talked to. What was especially appreciated was the communication with Davey's entire team. We were kept informed along the entire process, knew what to expect, and could prepare for the big day. Overall, a wonderful experience and would highly recommend Davey to anybody looking to have tree work done.

It is 8:40 pm and Davey Tree is outside my apartment still shoving tree trimmings into their chopper. This is obscenely loud and very obviously in violation of noise ordinances. The team did not arrive today until after 11:00 am, and promptly took their lunch in my neighbor’s driveway. They did not begin any substantive work until at least 1:00 pm, if even. When confronted about how late and loud their work was, they simply responded that they had to finish. Maybe if they had started at a reasonable hour they could have gotten their work done without terrorizing the neighborhood. Is PGE paying them overtime for this BS, too? The whole block has called the police. This is truly inexcusable. 0 stars, do not recommend.

Total hacks. PG&E hired them to do some light trimming near power lines. They ended up dismantling a meaningful portion of a centries-old redwood tree, in the dark, well past 10:00pm. We demanded they leave our property and they refused, claiming it was an "emergency" situation, which is obviously false for a job scheduled weeks in advance. They just didn't want to get their guy down from the tree and possibly have to return to do more work. Additionally, most of the crew spoke no English and they threw disgusting trash (including dirty toilet paper) in our recycling bin.
