5 star marketing, but that's not what you rate. I contracted them to trim some trees up and removed a few others including grinding stumps. Work was good, but they left dead branches in the trees, damaged bushes and left gouges and ruts in mine and my neighbors yard. Worst is they didn't mention it, fix any of the damage or respond to calls and emails. I won't use them again.

I've had a great experience with Sav-A-Tree and today they removed two Bradford Pear trees for us that were in a tight spot, near a fence. The crew did an amazing job and were superb with cleanup afterwards. Highly recommended.

The team did an incredible job-- Billy, Ethan, and Michael were organized and quick with our tree service needs. I appreciated their kind nature and the clarity they provided for the logistics of the work. I highly recommend their services! SavATree's office staff has been incredible to work with. I appreciate the care and detail oriented nature of their customer service. Paul the Arborist has been very lovely to work with. His perspective and recommendations have been valuable.

I have been using this company since 2014, back when they were Arbor Experts. They did an excellent job saving my tree from the emerald ash borer. They have also taken care of tree trimming and tree removing on my property. Service and customer contact has always been excellent. We recently contracted for over $2,000 of tree trimming work. After the work was completed I was dissatisfied with a tree next to the home as branches were still making contact with the side of the house. I was in formed by the company that they will have Kevin come out and inspect the work so that it can be corrected. Four unanswered emails later to Kevin and five phone calls to the office with a response that Kevin or the office manager will call me to discuss. It has been a month and still no contact. This company has been fantastic in the past, but in the last two months something has happened with their customer service and work performance. I cannot recommend this company anymore.

When my landscaper told me one of my trees had carpenter ants and needed to be taken down, it made me sad. I don’t like losing trees. From my experience during the 2019 tornado, I knew that I should contact an arborist. I remembered SavATree had sent out mailers last year. I contacted them and an arborist came out. I told him that my landscaper had said my tree had carpenter ants and needed to come down. I also wanted a suggestion for planting a replacement tree as well as any other tree maintenance or pruning that needed to be done. I received the offer by email and I was ready to have the work done. Then I second-guessed myself when my neighbor came over and said the tree is not dead. Now I worried that I was taking down a tree I didn’t need to - only because I had said “take the tree down”. I did not ask for the expert’s opinion rather I told him what I wanted done. At this point, it had been more than three days since I’d signed the contract and sent the down payment so I was concerned my tree was going to come down regardless. This is how I know SavATree is a reputable honest company. I asked that, although I had signed the offer making it a contract, could I change my mind about having the tree taken down. The answer was yes. A suggestion was made that an arborist come back and examine the tree. The arborist who came out was Kevin. Kevin was the best person they could have sent. He showed me how he could remove the bark easily by barely lifting it up the bark fell off. And there was a hole that he could put his fingers through. Kevin said carpenter ants do not attack live trees. Carpenter ants only go for dead wood. The tree was being hollowed out from the inside. I could clearly see this now. Kevin explained in great detail the damage the carpenter ants had done. Then he went over the other recommended pruning that was being done to keep branches off the roof of the shed, and for another tree that was starting to show signs of a split that could be pulled back together with a specific wire to maintain stability. An annual inspection and routine maintenance will keep your trees healthy. This is what I learned from Kevin. The calm way he explained what was happening and how it needed to be remedied made me feel so much better. I had allowed myself to get extremely upset by losing a tree. Instead, a dead tree will be coming down and in the proper planting season, a new tree will be planted in that vicinity that will be more resistant to Insect infestation and will be native to Ohio. He said he has spent his entire life working with trees, water and insects. He knows what he’s talking about. I could tell that through his detailed explanations. I am very grateful to Kevin for his knowledge and expertise.
