David Lesage was wonderful! He arrived early and had a positive attitude. He took the time to explain the reason for the bark peeling from my Japanese Maple. Unfortunately the prognosis for the tree was bleak (thoughts & prayers). David also took a minute and gave me pointers on how to save the second Japanese Maple on my property. 5 Stars for Save a tree, 6 Stars for David!
I called SavATree in Conshohocken to check on a blue spruce I’d transplanted and to get advice on how to help it thrive. Pro tip: call these guys BEFORE you embark on any DIY tree work...lesson learned! David Lesage came out to take a look at the blue spruce. He asked a few insightful questions to get the pertinent history of the tree, answered all of my questions, and clearly explained (politely, professionally, and without a hint of judgment!), why the tree was essentially dying/dead an unlikely to be able to be saved. He also offered thoughtful recommendations on how to amend the soil and suggested some alternative trees and shrubs that would fit the look I’m going for and do well in that particular location. On top of that, he took the time to answer several unrelated questions I had about dogwood trees. He was extremely knowledgeable and thoroughly explained everything in a way that was easy to understand. I really appreciated the time he spent and the clarity of his guidance, highly recommend!
Our 35 year old weeping cherry tree had scaling and needed nutrients. Our large maple tree was encroaching on our house and driveway. Chip came out and met us, and clearly explained the best solution and gave us a detailed contract after the consultation. The operation’s guys came out and professionally completed the cutting and treatment and cleaned up nicely. We’ll continue treatments for the weeping cherry tree next year. Chip also came back after to recap what was done and ensure the we were completely satisfied. Save a tree is a very unique well run operation.
SavATree has been working on our trees for years, which has resulted in great fruit production for our peach and pear tree. Recently, our dogwood tree fell over due to rain storms. When I explained the tree needed to be removed immediately since it might fall in my neighbors yard and hit power lines, they readjusted their schedule to come over almost immediately and cut it down. The crew was incredibly professional, detailed, and friendly, I can't recommend them enough for both general care and emergency situations.
I scheduled my tree and bush to be trimmed back. Chip arranged with PECO to shut my electricity off so they can safely cut near electrical lines. They arrived on time and had me go over what I wanted done. They were done quicker than I anticipated and cleaned up all of the cuttings. Everything was explained to me and there were no surprises. Very professional workers. I would highly recommend them.
