I had this company trim and thin out a mesquite tree. They came out the very next day. The guys did a tremendous job. It seemed like the lead guy was treating it like it was his own tree. They cleaned the area up so there wasn't anything left on the ground. I highly recommend this company. Danny is very personable also.

"Made In The Shade" recently removed a large saguaro cactus in my front yard. It'd been in badly stressed condition for a number of years now and would have caused significant damage to our nearby parked vehicles if it had fallen. When I called this business Danny was very courteous and easy to work with. He promptly visited our home to view the potential project for an estimate and explained the process to me. I indicated that I would like to have the work done quickly as I was expecting a visitor in a matter of days. Danny emailed me an estimate the following business day which I accepted. He was able to quickly schedule the crew for an early morning start to accommodate my short timeframe. The crew showed up at the agreed time with their heavy equipment; everyone performed their work duties resulting in efficient teamwork. They were finished within an hour and did an exemplary job cleaning up all the debris. I am very pleased with the results and would recommend them without hesitation.

I recently obtained 2 estimates for the trimming of 2 mesquite trees that had never had a professional trimming and had issues that needed addressing. I chose to contract with the company who had provided the lower estimate which exceeded $1,000. I was heartsick upon the completion of the job due to the fact that all the lower limbs were removed from both trees resulting in very little valuable shade and trees that looked like they belonged on the Serengeti where giraffes ate everything within their reach. It was heartbreaking to pay the amount I paid and be so unhappy. I decided to solicit an opinion from “Made in the Shade” who had provided my second estimate. I offered to pay him to come assess the situation and Danny said he would be happy to stop by free of charge. Danny is the consummate professional and I could tell he didn’t want to critique another company’s work negatively but when I pointed out my concerns his only option was to confirm my concerns were valid. He suggested that fertilizing the trees would give them the best chance of recovery and did so at an extremely low rate compared to their regular pricing. If I had contracted with them initially the price of fertilization was included in their original estimate thereby reflecting their higher estimate. In Danny’s professional opinion the trees should recover with some TLC and when they do, his company will be the company that I contract with for all future care. Although I already knew that cheaper isn’t necessarily better, this reinforced the fact ten fold. Lesson learned!
