We had Ray come out to give us an evaluation of a tree that had been struck by lightning. Ray gave an honest and knowledgeable opinion on whether or not the tree could be saved. I had talked to others to make sure that removing the tree was our best option. We needed to proceed with removing the tree. Ray had the lowest bid. I felt confident that we were in good hands. Ray represents his company professionally and respectably. We were introduced to the crew, they were very polite and courteous. Safety conscious. No swearing, no yelling, no bad talk, they worked very well together. They all did a very thorough job and cleaned up the job site very well. The equipment they used was well maintained, worked well, and it wasn't old broken down machinery. I would definitely recommend Hoover's tree service. Very honest and trustworthy. GREAT JOB! Ray Hoover and his crew worked hard and provided great value and customer service to us. We recommend this professional and skilled team very highly. Our experience with Hoover’s Tree Service at our forested, lakeside camp was entirely consistent with the other extremely positive customer reviews posted here. Recently, on our way to camp, we were notified that a storm had caused a large maple tree near our cabin to tear partially off halfway up and get entangled in another tree. This “widow maker” was hanging dangerously over our brick patio and was a serious threat to us and our dogs, as well as our soon to arrive adult kids and young grandchildren. We called Ray while we were en route, and he put our job on his “emergency” schedule and promptly removed the danger even before we arrived at camp. Subsequently, Ray provided us with a specific, high-priority proposal to remove a large, dead hemlock tree next to our rock seawall and to trim dead branches from some stressed trees which were also near our cabin. Alternatively, he suggested a full-day rate for a crew of five and multiple pieces of equipment to do the high-priority jobs plus other tasks. We decided to go with the all-day rate, and we were extremely pleased that we did. He and his experienced, skilled team were very hard working, careful, safe, friendly, and polite. They also came with an amazing array of tools and equipment, including a large chipper/shredder, a clawed skid steer, a stump grinder, and a “spider lift” that enabled them to do the work fast and efficiently. Their new “spider lift” was an incredible light-footed, tracked bucket lift that could reach about 70-feet high and maneuver around our cabin to get to the lakeside, which was inaccessible to their large bucket truck. During the full day of work, they took care of the high priority items, cut down additional dead trees, trimmed additional dead tree limbs, and ground-up old stumps. Before leaving, they also cleaned up everything and even used the stump grinder to churn up soil from the woods that was used to fill in tracks and then plant grass seed.

Hoovers tree service is top notch. They have a great team that works well together and are a pleasure to have on your property. Mr. Hoover is fair and is very knowledgeable. The communication has been excellent from start to finish. The team did a great job on my property and left everything so clean you could not tell trees were removed. Outstanding! Ray and his team were top notch! Well maintained and proper equipment for my large job. They all went above and beyond and I would highly recommend this company. Ray has an incredible knowledge of trees and his expertise shows. As an owner he works along side his crew and the crew are like family.

Ray and his crew went above and beyond to take down a difficult, dying aspen tree that was leaning over our house. They had specialized equipment to get the job done without tearing up the lawn badly and raked and seeded what little damage there was afterward. They squeezed us in with incredibly short notice and charged us half the price of a different company. Ray shared his insights as a certified arborist which was helpful with some of our other trees in need of attention, and it was clear that he cares about the health of the trees he works with. His crew did an excellent job, were safety conscious, and enjoyed the work. It was a pleasure working with all of them and we would highly recommend!
