Hoosier Tree Service

We highly recommend these folks. We got a quote from them and then two other companies for a rotted tree that had branches over our garage. Hoosier Tree Service had the best quote for us so we chose them. They came out, communicated well, did an EXCELLENT job and exactly what we asked (they left the stump line we wanted, and some wood as we requested). The yard was covered in leaves and sticks from the tree removal and they cleaned up very nicely! We would choose them again and again. Friendly, kind, communicative, competitive rate, efficient.... We all loved watching them work. At one point we said, "for sure 5 stars" and our son said, "no, ten thousand stars!!!" We agree. They did an excellent job!

It all started when several large tree trimming trucks were working in my neighborhood. I followed the sound of chain saws and found several young men working steadily at removing a neighbor's trees. I asked about an estimate for trimming my sickly looking oak tree, and the young man referred me to the phone number on one of the trucks. I called and left a message, soon after Greg called to learn more about what I wanted to accomplish. He made an appointment to inspect the tree I was concerned about. Greg showed on time and gave me the news I didn't want to hear, he could trim the dead limbs now, but would likely be back next year for what was left as the tree was dying. Faced with reality presented in a nice way, I swallowed and agreed to have the entire tree removed and stump ground down. The total price surprised me, it wasn't that much money for a such a huge tree winding its way through electric lines. In the two weeks or so between estimate and the crew coming to do the work, Greg's prediction of the tree's demise continued to prove true as the limbs became more bare. Soon we received the news that the fateful day had arrived and our oak tree was coming down. Like clockwork several large Hoosier Tree Service trucks rolled up the street. In a matter of minutes the saws were running and a spider lift rose into the tree canopy, one by one the offending limbs were sliced off and dropped to the ground to be fed into the grinder and devoured. At first we worried that the dropped limbs would tear up our landscaping but upon closer inspection we discovered several protective layers of sheathing had been strategically placed by Hoosier workers that kept everything below it safe. Our big worry about the difficulty of removing an oak tree faded away rapidly as the skill of the workers in the air and on the ground became evident. In a matter of a couple hours the tree was gone, the grinder moved in and reduced the stump to a memory. The entire crew went to work cleaning and soon the street, driveway, and landscaping were cleaner than before they started. So the moral of the story, Hoosier Tree Service is a family business that doesn't toot their own horn. They are experts who are efficient at their craft and do professional work at very reasonable prices. As for missing our oak tree our attachment quickly fizzled away, a couple bags of dirt over the stump area along with some new plants took away the sting. A happy ending for all except the tree. Very pleased with the skills of these young men. They did a wonderful job cutting down our 80 ft tulip tree. Fast perfectionly and without any problems. Thank guys.

Hoosier Tree Service was by far the most responsive, respectful, and reasonable of the tree services we have ever hired. They came out to quote us the same day as our initial phone call, and we were on their schedule very quickly. They removed one tree and trimmed six trees on two properties. The work was very well done, and they allowed us to be involved in deciding how to trim the trees, which kept everyone happy with the results. We highly recommend them, you'll be disappointed if you don't!

Hoosier Tree Service has the right people, the right equipment and extensive tree knowledge. After a completion, the cleanup was extensive and it was like they weren’t even there.
