Hillbilly tree service

Called them out and they came next day to give me a free estimate. We agreed on price for numerous trees and a little bit of trimming up on other trees. The guys worked efficiently and will be calling them back when more work needs to get done.

Please use a different Tree Service!!! We had hired Hillbilly last year to cut, stump grind, and clean up 3 trees. They had cut two trees day one. It then took several phone calls and messages to get them back out for the last tree and even more for removing the logs. That alone took a great deal of time. They had in the contact to stump grind in the spring. I have called and text several times and they will not finish the work that is already paid for. Everytime I get ahold of somebody and set a date they ghost the job. Nobody shows up and no communication at all! They didn't even finish the brush cleanup last year-so that fell to us to clean so the yard is not a mess. I now have to go to COURT just to get them to finish or get my money back so I can hire somebody else. And to top all this off they dropped a log, cracking a porch railing and completly SMASHING our concrete hand and foot print mold we had made when our daughter was a baby.. it was just a couple inches away from the porch. They talk about how much reputation matters and try to get good reviews but apparently that's a lie. I may even remove the post if the job is done soon, but until then they should not be allowed near your trees. I have attached some of the photos we had taken as evidence.

I really wanted to give Hillbilly Tree service 5 stars, but they have not finished the job. In early April 2025 we had them trim and cut multiple trees on our property over 3 days. One tree was a large, very old oak, which they brought down safely, but we now have huge sections in our yard and I can’t get a response from them as to when this will be cleaned up. Very frustrated! I will gladly amend this review if I can get this cleaned up asap. UPDATE : My brother has been talking to the owner, Chris, about clean up and they came on July 13th and removed all the huge stumps…thank you! They told the neighbor they would be back to grind the stump, again, as it wasn’t ground fully the first time. I will be going up in a couple weeks and see if that has been completed.

Chad and his crew cut some poplar trees down around my garage and house. They did it safely, didn't damage the surrounding trees or the house and garage. His prices are very reasonable. I would highly recommend them to anyone needing trees cut that are close to structures, they are simply the best and safest from my experience.

Chad, Chris, and the crew did a phenomenal job removing about 35 trees for our build site deep in the woods over the past 4 days. They cut all the trees into manageable pieces and chipped all the tops. These guys and gals were the nicest folks to to spend 4 days with. I highly recommend them and will use them again without hesitation. Rates were very fair. Thank you!
