I called Heritage Tree Service because I have a very young Chinese Pistache tree that is struggling. Rodney was very quick to respond to my email and scheduled a consultation very quickly. I told him that in that area it was planted a pine tree had been, but had since died. So, deep in the soil old wood chips may be the issue. Rodney put me on a watering schedule and we have hope it will survive. Meanwhile Rodney checked over other trees and plants in my yard and gave me very useful advice. I had Heritage Tree out twice at my home. Once for a two hour consultation on the trees across my property and another for a custom fruit tree pruning class. I've been very happy with the expertise and advice that Rodney has given me. I know several of my neighbors have also used them and had similar positive experiences. Consulted Rodney on the advice of a landscape designer I was working with. She said he really knows trees and isn't associated with any tree service companies, which could bias an opinion. Rodney is a Master Certified Arborist and we had him out to evaluate a Japanese maple tree that has been slowly declining in health for a few years. Wanted to know if it can be saved or if it's best to start with a new tree. Should mention we've had several other arborists out in previous years and none of them agreed with each other as to the problem with our Japanese maple. He also evaluated our other trees for health and longevity and confirmed our only issue is with the maple. He did a soil test (extra charge) to determine what soil amendments might be necessary prior to planting a new tree in that location. He also nixed an idea we had to plant three olive trees on our property in a space that would have created problems with the trees' roots over time so he saved us that potential disappointment and expense--and he suggested three other tree species that would thrive in that same location. Rodney was well worth the money we spent on his expertise and professional experience.
