I first went with Greg Smith because I try to stay local (Franklinville) in any service I have performed on my house. The team removed a tree that was leaning on my house and the team removed the tree and grind down the stump. I was so impressed with their work, I haven’t had anyone else perform any tree service on my property. I have had land cleared, dead trees removed and have even had an emergency call answered when a giant pine fell across my driveway during a storm. The area is always clean and debris free after the job is complete. Ken Smith always gives me an honest assessment of the work needed and a timeline for when it can be done, and I’m always given a fair and reasonable price for each job. I am overdue leaving this review. About a month ago we had them remove 2 trees - one that was dead directly behind the fence in our back yard and one very tall oak that was between our house and our neighbors and was starting to lean over our house right where our power lines come in. I have never seen a more efficient group of guys. They put down plywood where they had to drive on the lawn. The big oak was taken down piece by piece and carefully lowered to the ground. The minute each piece came down it was taken to the street and ground up. They left very little impact on my already questionable looking lawn. The tree in the back was just cut so it fell back in the woods and when it came down across a small path they cleared that part away. And I will add that they gave me a surprisingly reasonable price. What reminded me to post this is that our neighbors just had a few trees removed by another service. They were the exact opposite. The lawn has been destroyed. Everything they cut came thudding to the ground making a crater. And they destroyed part of a chain linked fence because they only ground the smaller stuff and dumped the bigger pieces of trunk over the fence in the back. I already have grass growing where that oak used to be. I will be calling these guys again next year because I already regret not having them do another unhealthy looking tree on the other side of the house. I would recommend this service to anyone.
