Great Mountain Tree Service, LLC

We contacted GMTS last fall for advice on two trees in our front yard in Seneca, PA. We scheduled a visit, Nick and Stephanie arrived timely, provided an estimate for trimming, and booked us for the following week. They are truly “professionals”. Our trees look beautiful and healthy! Cleanup was perfect too. Payment was online and worked smoothly. Not only are you paying for great services, they are also a wealth of information. They know “trees”!! We highly recommend Great Mountain Tree Service.

Amazing Team. I’m so happy we found them. Called for an estimate on a Tuesday for 9 apple trees that need pruned desperately , they came the next day , since it’s past time for pruning we did get on the schedule for next year. They ended up walking around our almost 3 acres and advise one area of trees/bushes needed clean up soon before nesting starts, they were able to get us in on Friday . What they uncovered were beautiful large stones we had no idea were there. They cut and trimmed and made a beautiful new garden area for me . Oh and the clean up was superb .cannot wait to work with them again . I highly highly recommend. Great couple . Thank you so much

Tl;dr Had a big tree and they dropped it within a 30 foot gap. They're super awesome people who GET that trees are important. 10/10 DO recommend. First off, this tree was an absolute beast at sixty years old with every inch of height to prove it. To complicate it further it was in a hell of a tight spot--it was up against an outbuilding; sat between the house and the shed to the sides; had another, larger larch behind it; and ahead well within striking distance were a clothesline pole, another shed, and a white pine. They dropped our larch within the thirty feet between the corner of the house and the clothesline pole with ABSOLUTE ACCURACY. The craziest part was they did it with over half the tree still intact; they didn't even have to climb it for them to achieve that level of accuracy. To say it was dropped with great care and efficiency is an understatement and goes without saying considering its location. Stephanie and Nicholas are super sweet and took my husband's work schedule into consideration, working with electric saws as long as they could since they're quieter (my husband works nights). They also cut the tree into manageable pieces for us since we don't have saws then left everything neat and orderly. Along the way Stephanie shared so much information with me as she made discoveries about the tree and its condition. I learned a lot simply by being spoken TO and not AT as some folks will do and this opportunity to learn was greatly appreciated. It became incredibly apparent that Stephanie and Nicholas are passionate about what they do, treating trees as living organisms which are important parts of our ecosystems versus "just a chunk of wood." I was heartbroken to see our larch go and having someone who GOT that was comforting; watching someone carefully dismantle a tree who also respects it is so much better than watching someone drop it without much thought, if any. Needless to say I'll be recommending these folks to anyone who needs tree service and will not hesitate to contact them again if I need a tree checked out.

Our rhododendron posed an overwhelming pruning job for us to tackle. So to our rescue (which was such a pleasant find) came Great Mountain Tree Service. They were friendly and efficient. They did an excellent job on a very hot day and I am grateful for their expertise!!

Great Mountain Tree Services is an excellent company to take care of any tree services you might need. Nicholas and Stephanie are very precise in their planning and execution of the jobs that you want done, plus they are very knowledgeable about trees and shrubs and the proper way to help them thrive. If you want trees removed, they carefully plan and execute that as well. They just finished pruning our maple tree and several shrubs and they did an excellent job. In the near future, they will be taking down some dead trees for us. They don't harm the trees by spike climbing and all of their equipment is top notch. Stephanie and Nicolas are easy to work with and they're just plain fun to have around. We would recommend them to anyone.
