They did an amazing job. We had a very old crabapple tree taken down in our backyard which has zero access so they had to bring in a crane to get it down. They even cleaned up the mess not only in our yard but our neighbors yards. I would recommend them to anyone.

Gauged Tree Care is awesome! We had them take down a tree in our backyard, trim up 2 other trees and remove two stumps. They were able to get in our small yard without having the power lines take down. They worked as a team to get everything done as efficiently as possible. In a couple of hours everything was done and cleaned up. The price was what was quoted and it was all done paperless (I love that!). We will use their services in the future!

1 year later from my first review, Mike and his team continue to impress. We had about a half acre in our backyard that was an overgrown mess with dead trees everywhere, lying on the ground and still standing along with a ton of buckthorn. Mike was patient and professional helping to walk us through our options and we absolutely love the end result of our “clean forest!” And once again, even after giant trucks and machines were in our backyard, they cleaned everything and it looked immaculate. 2024 review: Mike and his team were amazing to work with and they absolutely went above and beyond. They removed 4 dead trees and pruned 3 other giant oaks. They showed up on time, worked diligently and took the time to not only clean up after themselves, they cleared all our leaves around the house! They had giant equipment in our backyard and it didn’t tear up the lawn at all, you can’t even tell they were there. I would highly recommend them! Good people who do great work!

Mike removed 2 very large cottonwoods for me. I was very impressed with his professionalism and skill. Price was very reasonable. His giant cutting machine was awesome (no climbing required). Recommended him to my neighbor. Will not hesitate to recommend to others as well.

I recently contracted with Gauger Tree Care to have them cut down a small dead ash tree in the corner of our backyard. Long-story-short: I couldn’t be more satisfied with the service I received, and I highly recommend them to anybody in need of tree care services. A more detailed account follows. On Wednesday, June 13 at roughly 2:00 PM, Mike and his assistant came to remove a small dead ash tree in the corner of our yard. From start to finish, Mike demonstrated exceptional communication, for example making it easy to schedule the service at a convenient time for us. He was good with responding to emails and phone calls. Mike’s flexibility in scheduling was greatly appreciated, as we had unpredictable weather that week which led to soft ground in the yard around the tree, probably not suitable for heavy equipment. However, once we settled on a time, true to his word, he arrived exactly when he said he would and got right to work. Despite the job only taking roughly two hours, Mike and his assistant didn’t rush. They worked methodically and kept their workspaces highly organized, taking care not to harm the nearby arborvitae for example. Their thoroughness ensured that the removal was done safely and efficiently, leaving no mess behind. Mike cut the tree down to just a few inches above the ground, with a final cut level enough to put a flowerpot on top of the remaining stump. Moreover, when I mowed the next day, I can’t even remember hearing any chips getting caught up in the mower. Needless to say, the end result exceeded my expectations, and our yard looks fantastic. The online quote/payment system was also convenient and easy to use. In summary, I am extremely pleased with Gauger Tree Care’s service and will undoubtedly be calling Mike for all our future tree care needs. I highly recommend Mike and his team to anyone in need of tree care services in Oshkosh and the surrounding area.
