Ferguson's Tree Care, LLC - Tree Removal & Arborist Baton Rouge

Mr Carl Ferguson's Tree Care Service was hired by my neighbor to cut down a large rotted tree in their yard in which the top portion leaned over the fence/property line into my yard. This tree has caused numerous power outages in our neighborhood over the years, so when the neighbor finally agreed to have it cut down completely - I was all for it. Unfortunately, since the top half of the rotting tree leaned over the fence into my yard...the tree company would have to come through my driveway & backyard to cut down the top half before finishing the tree cut down on the neighbors side. Having experienced much damage to my driveway over the years when we had power outages due to this tree throwing dead limbs - I was apprehensive regarding the type of equipment Mr Carl would be using to come through my yard. He was very understanding and professional, explaining that his company had equipment small and lightweight enough to do the job without causing damage to my new driveway or lawn. The crew arrived early in the morning with sufficient workman and equipment to do the job well. They placed large pads across my lawn to help protect the grass for the equipment that had to roll up to my backyard fence line in order to cut down the top half of the tree, before going into the neighbor's yard to finish cutting down the rest of the problem tree. Mr Carl also provided me a fair price to cut down 2 small dead trees on my property while his crew was on-site, as well as some tree trimming. I was very pleased with the tree work Ferguson's Tree Service performed for me as well as how they protected my property in cutting down the huge rotten tree in my neighbors yard that had caused so much grief in electricity loss over the last 20 years. Mr Carl's crew also did a phenomenal job of clean up after everything was cut. His team raked, broomed and blew off all debris after their larger equipment picked up the larger logs. Definitely recommend their tree service. Mr Carl, Jeffrey (his Foreman) and all the crew were fantastic

I had a tree fall in the back corner of my yard three days before I was installing a new privacy fence. I have three dogs, so I wanted to minimize the amount of time the old fence would be down. I was told they would be out first thing the same morning as my fence install. They didnt show on time. I called the owner and he claimed he mixed my job up with another, and that it would be a "few hours" before they could get around to my job. I called three hours later when I hadn't heard back and he ignored my call. I gave my fence contractor his number and the owner dodged him too. Finally heard back three hours after I called (six hours after they should have been there). Owner told me it would be within an hour or so. They showed up 1.5 hours later when my fence crew was packing up. The tree crew was quick and finished within thirty minutes. What I don't get it why the owner couldn't reroute his crew to complete a quick job so I wasn't inconvenienced. I had to pay an additional fee for the fence crew to come back out to close the opening they left for the tree crew. Owner didnt offer any sort of discount for the inconvenience or even show up at the job to apologize. I completely understand that things happen, but the lack of communication from the owner was inexcusable. Super disappointed in this company, will never use again. Edited to add, since the company commented on this: it is not the fence crews job to wait around when they did what they said they would. They started at 7 AM with the expectation it would be a one day job and the tree crew would be in and out early in the day. Mr. Ferguson did not honor his agreement to come out first thing. He told me on the phone he mixed me up with another customer. That doesn't sound like it was just an emergency job that got in the way. He didnt honor the agreement and cost me more money in the process. Poor handling all around.

We used Ferguson's Tree Care to take down a large oak tree from our property. Their service was top notch and they had the best price around. The tree was between our house and the neighbors house and a crain was necessary to take it out in pieces. Everyone worked together like a well oiled machine to get the job done in a timely manner, which included cleaning up and hauling off. We would definitely recommend Ferguson's Tree Care, LLC!
