Dekalb Tree Service

I got a quote in June and good for 90 days. I was ready July 22nd. Jerry answered my questions prior to the appointment. They have a great team and worked in sync. Everyone pulled their weight and was completed by 2 o’clock. I highly recommend DeKalb Tree Service.

Had a great experience with a Dekalb tree service. Their price was competitive, the service was efficient, safe and informative. They removed a huge dead oak tree that had been struck by lighting and also removed some other branches on adjacent trees to raise the overall canopy around my home. We will be working with them again in the coming months.

If you ask me whether or not I would recommend using Dekalb Tree Service, I would tell you that Keith and his crew would be my first choice every time. Over the years I’ve been in this house they’ve cut down pine trees that were badly damaged in ice storms, done regular maintenance trimming and just this week they took down 3 huge old dying oak trees for me. The largest tree was about 90 years old, with a trunk that was 8’ in diameter and had a huge branch overhanging the power lines along the road. Ga Power didn’t want to trim that branch, they skipped us every time they trimmed the neighborhood. Keith and his crew took all 3 oaks down without a crane in a day and a half. The rope work was masterful and carefully thought out. The crews moved with the precision that only comes with long experience of working together. Each branch and piece of trunk was roped, precisely cut and lowered safely to the ground. There was no wildly dropping wood. That huge old branch overhanging the power lines was roped to a lot of different belay points. They cut it near the trunk and the entire branch swung around a bit, the ropes kept it up high and away from the power lines and my house. When it finally stopped swinging there it was safely cradled by all those ropes about 10-12 feet above my carport roof. They carefully maneuvered it to the side and lowered it between my house and my neighbors. It was totally amazing, so yes, I can confidently say you should hire them.

Keith, Jerry and their crew did an excellent job removing 2 large Leyland Cypress trees. They were extremely careful about not damaging any of the other shrubs and plantings in the area. Their clean up was immaculate. Great price, responsive to questions and provided a high quality experience.

I just moved to Stone Mountain, GA and our new home was in desperate need for tree removal and trimming. While in line at the bank, the man in front of me was wearing a Dekalb Tree Service shirt. It was Keith, the business owner. These guys know what they’re doing! Highly recommended.
