Complete Tree Service of St. Louis

We have used Complete Tree Service a few times now. The most recent was today (October 1, 2024) for removal of two trees with removal of the stumps. We always are amazed at their professionalism, response time, and value. Steve/Lori always under promise and OVER DELIVER. The crew does an excellent job with cleanup.

Steve and his crew were fantastic (Matt, Justin and Nick). They gave me a wonderful quote on a tree by electrical wires, where a few others were trying to charge me over double his quote. They were responsive and professional. I highly recommend them. I asked them to leave the tree so I could have fire wood. They did and even trimmed it up for me. Wonderful group of people.

Be very prepared for this company to destroy your yard and refuse to finish the job or even clean up. Hired them to cut down a tree as well as grind the stump and roots. The first time they came their guys left their trash on my mailbox and broke 2 of my lights I had on the driveway I said nothing because they got the tree down. They couldn't do the stump or roots due to weather no problem. They showed up unannounced weeks later to grind the stump did half of it and left. Then once again came back unannounced 2 days later to finish and only did more of the stump. I couldn't tell you if they completed the stump or not because they decided to spread the wood chips all over my yard. They then sent me an invoice the next day. When I questioned the job because the roots had not been grinded down and my yard was an ABSOLUTE MESS I was told by Steve that he quoted me wrong and should have charged me more also that "he had spent enough man hours at my residence" he said them spreading the wood chips all over my yard was normal. When we first discussed this job he said I would have a hole where the stump was and they would fill that spot with the mulch not the whole entire yard. Their website also states that they FILL THE HOLE with mulch not spread it over the whole yard. When I spoke to him on the phone and told him this was unacceptable he just continued to say "do what u gotta do" so not only did he refuse to do what HE QUOTED but he showed no regard to destroying my yard. Now I'm left with an unfinished job and a mess in my yard that I have to hire somebody else to come fix. Save yourself the aggravation and use somebody else. Steve was beyond unprofessional.

Steve was very transparent and his crew was efficient. He worked with me to save some money by leaving some lumber for me to clean up which I don’t mind to save some cost. I would use them again!

We called Complete Tree Service after a storm broke 4 big limbs on our cherry tree and landed them right across our driveway. We called early in the am and their 24 hour service operator answered. Someone called us back w/in the hour and they were over soon after, cleaning up the huge mess. They're coming back next week to give us a bid on trimming the rest of our trees. The customer service is great and the crew was professional and really fast. They even stopped to clean up another tree that was across the road (down the street) just so people could get through.
