This business is beyond perfect. We used Collins to have five 80 ft trees removed that were less than 10 feet from the front of my house. The house is 80 ft from the street and we didn’t want the grass or the house to be damaged. I met Ryan Collins about a year ago to remove a dead oak from my side yard. He arrived with a crew to make an estimate and did the job on the spot for a very good price. His crew worked from a bucket truck efficiently and safely and when they left it was like they were never there. But removing 5 extremely tall pines and oaks hanging over our 40 ft tall roof was a different matter. He made the estimate, set a date and arrived on “tree-day” like an army with a well thought out plan. Including a crane that looked like was used to build a bridge. It has a 100 ft boom and reached my house from the street. He had obtained all the permits from the city and had all his papers with him to prove it. I must tell you that I hate to cut any tree. These magnificent trees were here before we were, and I hated to have to cut them. Ryan made an honest health assessment and noted that they and the proximity to the house were choking each other out, citing the amount of pine straw and dying branches, that they had to be removed. I don’t trust just anybody for something so important, but I trusted Ryan. He is experienced, caring, educated, and guided me though his plan before he started. He supervised the crew and they worked like a ballet company. Hoisting people into trees, protecting my lawn, planning each cut and lift, grinding the branches and loading the logs. And in 3 hours the hard work was done without even a close call of any kind. A few more hours of trimming some branches, blowing off 2 years of debris from my roof, and sweeping the street and driveway, and we saw out home in a new light. This business is beyond perfect. Every one of his employees we spoke to has been with him many years, and love their jobs. It shows.

The crew was professional and friendly. The job was difficult in that it was near the house and the neighbor’s property, and I was having the top 30 feet of a 90 foot tree removed. Perfect job. Perfect drop and clean-up. Willing to work in another tree removal and removal of dead wood from another tree. Most highly recommend them.

They removed a sweet gum tree on the edge of a bank close to my house (approximately 18 ft. away). Due to the location of the tree, they had to stage their truck on the road below the bank, which made for a challenging operation in terms of the tree removal. I was very much impressed with their skills in handling the material that they cut off as they worked their way down from the top of the tree. They rigged the branches with ropes that they controlled from the ground, and never once came close to my house during the entire removal process. I would recommend their services to anyone wanting a tree removed safely and without any issues.
