Having just purchased a vacant lot in the city of Edgewood, we wanted to get a head start on preparing the land for new home design. Although the vacant lot was mostly clear, we had several sizable decaying laurel oaks, camphors, and tall queen palms to remove still. One of the large laurel oaks had fallen against a beautiful live oak that was *not* to be harmed. Also, the two trees were near power lines as well, making for a tricky removal. I contacted several tree services that had arborists on staff since our city requires a tree removal permit requiring an arbor report. Most of the arborists I met we friendly, but only one was *clearly* outstanding and won our business immediately (we didn't even get all the quotes yet). Sometimes you just have a "gut" feeling that this is the company you want to go with, and Steve Ogden from Central Florida Arborcare was our man. Removing trees (properly that is) takes a bit of pre-work as well. Many cities go to great lengths to protect the landscape in their boundaries and rightfully so. CFA made it easy to obtain the proper permits and approval from our city, and this is the advantage of choosing a service that has a full-time arborist aboard as permitting required an arbor report. A week later, the crew arrived fully prepared with all the different trucks and equipment to handle the job correctly. The team was amiable and quickly established the feeling that they were there to do the job requested and process any requests. I made sure not to micro-manager (please, don't do that), and in return, I felt like I was part of the crew. It was a big job, but they handled it perfectly! I'm sure a couple more trees will need to trimmed or removed on once the house plans are complete, and I *WILL* be using them! Lastly, I want to thank ALL the people I got to work with at CFA, including Steve, Sheila, Cassidy, John, Lee, and the rest of the crew that were so busy that I didn't get their names (sorry). After Hurricane Milton blew through, I discovered the 80-ft oak next to our house had cracked all the way down the trunk to the ground and was one gust away from crashing onto the roof. I called the next day on a Saturday afternoon and Bill promptly called me back. After I explained the urgency of the situation, he said he would be there in 30 minutes. Bill and his team of experts came together on a plan to safely bring down the tree without having to use a crane, which saved me thousands. He emailed me a quote which I accepted and his team showed up promptly the next morning at 7:45am as promised. Within half a day, the tree was safely removed, the stump was ground up, and all of the tree debris removed. Bill also discovered another tree that was cracked at the rear of the house and stabilized it. He said he'll return soon to survey the other trees and come up with a plan.

My initial engagement with Central Florida Arbor Care took place when I met Preston who is the Estimator. He was patient, kind and most importantly informative. He was also very detailed and took time to ensure that he captured every aspect of the scope of work. Once I got the information that I needed Preston scheduled my appointment. In all, the team that came to my residence cut down 3 camphor trees. It wasn't an easy job because they have minimal yard access due to the narrow access space. Matthew was the tree cutter and he did a phenomenal job. He is a true master tree cutter, and the team working with him was excellent as well. Jose, Luis, Shane and Charles were the gentlemen that made up the rest of the team. Everyone gave top notch customer service and the pride that was taken in their work was evident. There was no debris in the neighbors yard and everything was executed to spec. I will also add that they did an amazing job cleaning up as well. The only evidence of Central Florida Arbor Care being there was the fact that 3 trees were gone lol. I would recommend them to anyone who values superb customer service and high quality work.
