Caliber Tree Services recently performed a removal of an older (dead) tree and extensive trimming back of trees in my backyard forest. From the initial consultation with Tim to the day of performing the service, the communication was outstanding and the pricing was fair and transparent in relation to the scope of the project. As a customer, I valued the professionalism and quality of work completed. I was kept informed by through the scheduling processes and provided before/after photos of the service. Caliber Tree Service has earned my trust and business for any future tree related projects I may have.

I had a great experience with Caliber. We had a tree struck by lightning that totally died within 2 weeks and needed to be taken down. It was on the property line and very close to our house and our neighbor's house. We got an immediate response when we called Caliber and a same-day estimate, and they were able to deal with the tree within 10 days, despite it being busy storm season. The crane had to be parked on the neighbor's property and they were very careful with their driveway and landscaping, and everyone was satisfied with the end result.

I can’t say enough great things about Caliber! Tim and his team are top-notch professionals and their rapid response to our emergency tree removal needs saved our house. We’re so thankful for their quick and skillful work! We had a tree blow over in high winds; luckily a couple other trees caught it, but it was pointed directly at our house and would have caused significant damage to our home if it broke loose. I called Caliber and Tim came over within 30 minutes. He made a thorough assessment and did a great job explaining his plan. It was a busy night for Caliber…they had a couple other jobs in the area due to the high winds, but Tim’s team was at our house in under two hours. The Caliber team did an AMAZING job taking down the tree. Everything was done carefully and precisely. They were working at night with the winds still whipping, which made their work that much more impressive. They definitely went the extra mile too in terms of customer service; they used matting to minimize the impact of their heavy equipment on the wet ground, and once the tree was safely down the Caliber team even swept the debris off our deck. Excellent service from start to finish!

Bottom line up front: Caliber Tree Services, Tim, and the entire team are amazing. From the very beginning with the estimate, Tim gave me his honest opinion (and even tried to convince me to take fewer trees down) to the speed, safety, and efficiency of his team, to the payment portal they use, the entire job was stress-free and professional to a fault. The team showed up early, worked together flawlessly, and made easy work of what would have taken most companies well over a full day to complete. We even added taking down another tree, while the job was in progress. Everyone on the team wore protective equipment and was constantly checking the work area to maintain safety, even with a “spider”, loader, and two trucks with trailers constantly moving, all while taking down five trees. After the trees were felled, they brought in a grinder, ground all the stumps below ground level, and started cleanup. The team treated my yard like it was their own. I’ve had other companies leave my yard a scarred mess, but they took care to clean everything up, especially around where the stumps were ground. Caliber has earned a lifelong customer, and I HIGHLY recommend them to anyone and everyone who needs landscaping and/or tree work done. Full story: This review is well overdue – sorry Tim. First thing you need to know is that I give 3/5 stars if you do the job and it meets expectations. 5/5 means you’re going above and beyond any expectations or wishes I had. Caliber Tree Services earned every one of those 5 stars. I had a decent sized job involving removing 3 40-50 foot trees that were towering over my house, and a few 20-foot-ish trees. I called Caliber and Tim was out there within a couple days, with work scheduled the day after. On the day of the work, the entire team was early, fully set up, and talking through the job before the 8:00 AM showtime. Having a team that can work safely, stay focused, maintain an impressive speed of work, while maintaining quality is exceptionally rare in any line of work. I would love to have the team at Caliber working for me any day, in any place. Aside from the team, Caliber has a “spider” bucket that can fit through a fence gate. There are only a few of these machines on the east coast. Being able to send a bucket up, instead of relying on climbers, made the job much more efficient and let them make quick work of removing two large trees in a relatively small gap between houses. When the trees were down, out came the stump grinder. The team quickly filled in the holes as each stump was ground down and began packing up. I’ve had companies leave my yard a scarred mess, but Caliber Tree treated my yard like it was theirs. They did a spectacular job cleaning up, and even hauled more yard waste than was created by the job. Again, sorry Tim, I swear I was getting to that. At the end of the job, Caliber sent me to an easy-to-use portal via emailed link. There I could pay with Apple Pay, which made settling up super easy and fed into my personal accounting system. Few companies invest in the tech to make payment easy, but Caliber did. Doing small things like that set you apart – and they know it. Caliber could have, and should have, charged me an arm and a leg for the size of the job, the time frame I requested the work to be done in, grinding all those stumps, and hauling all the debris. And, I’m not even mentioning easing my mind by having such a professional, skilled, and safety-conscious team on my property. But, they didn’t. In fact, Caliber beat Davey Tree’s estimate significantly, without asking or outbidding their competition. They know their worth, but they’re going to take care of you. When all was said and done, Tim even threw in a shirt for me and my wife. Suffice to say, I’ll be calling Caliber Tree again and again. Y’all have earned a customer and ardent supporter for life.

Tim was extremely helpful and professional. His proposal was very detailed, and his price was very competitive. Once I accepted the contract, he had a team to my house within hours. The team arrived with 3 service trucks and at least 10 men to trim my hickory nut tree. This tree is huge... I remarked to the team leader about the number of men, and he replied to the importance of safety. All of his team were extremely courteous and professional. I apologize for not knowing the name of your team leader his was excellent. Each member of the team was dressed in uniform and looked very professional. All wore hard hats with radio communications. Lisa and I couldn't be happier with the job. I will recommend Tim and Caliber Tree Services to everyone. Thanks, Tim for a great job!
