We hired BJ Haines to take down some dead trees about 3 weeks ago and we were again, very impressed with their work. Unfortunately, we lost two giant maples in the recent storm. At least we know who we can trust to take care of things for us. They are the best!

After several failed attempts to get quotes from AL recommended companies, I decided to use Google Reviews and quickly found BJ Haines Tree Service -- and I'm glad I did! They returned my call quickly and were at the house (with a certified Arborist!) within 2 days to quote the job. The work requested to be done: removal of one 75ft Silver Maple in backyard (near house and powerline), trim of large silver maple along property line, and removal of 3 pine trees growing too close to Elm (and stump grind all 4 trees). During the walk through, I asked Bonnie how she planned on removing the main Silver Maple -- and she replied quickly that they'd use a crane to lift the tree in chunks over the house and thereby also avoiding the powerline. Despite mid-pandemic and summer weather, we were able to schedule the removal within a month -- which was way faster than other quotes that required waiting 2 months for Xcel Energy to drop the powerline. Prior to the removal day, we agreed on a setup time that would allow for a 7am cut start. The crew got there, unpacked all of the machinery, and were ready to cut at 7am when the crane arrived. Mere minutes later the crane was working and lifting chunks of the tree over the house, inbetween other trees, and down to the road for disposal... in a blink of an eye, the Silver Maple was 100% removed within 1 hour. All four trees removed with stump grinding, one tree trimmed, (additional trim work done for neighbor who was impressed with their work!), removal of all debris (including removal of wood chips and raking the lawn affected by the removal), and all of the machinery packed up on trailers by noon. Yes, NOON. I am impressed with the speed of the work, the professionalism that they all had on the site, and their willingness to answer my questions (to make sure that I was satisfied with the result) -- well worth the cost!

Great experience! They removed a huge ugly pine tree from our yard and were in and out in less than an hour. They did a great job cleaning up afterwards too. Very reasonable pricing. Highly recommend.
