The Smith Mountain Lake branch (see what I did there?) of Bartlett Tree Experts is fantastic. From the informative and helpful visit from Ryan, their arborist, to the ease of scheduling, we had a great experience. But the real reason for my review of 5 stars is the crew, they are the most professional, safety conscious, and skilled tree crew we have ever had work on our trees. You can tell they care about the trees and doing the best job they can. They left our property in better shape than when they got there, and our trees and we thank them!

Bartlett Tree Experts advertise that they are the world's leading scientific tree and shrub care company whose objective is to support both residential and commercial customers maintain beautiful, healthy trees. I have been a client with Bartlett for numerous years and can personally attest to quality of the services they provide. One of the most valuable services they provide to me is preventative management. On each visit, Ryan, my arborist representative, continuously observes our extensive plantings of trees and shrubs inspecting them for any possible disease, decay, or changes in order to effectively treat any issues before the planting is in danger of removal. This service alone is invaluable. On each visit, Ryan walks the entire property just looking at the overall health of our plantings. Most of the time he finds nothing of concern, but when he does notice an irregularity, his fast attention to the issue has saved more than one of our plantings. I find Bartlett to be effective, genuinely interested in our home landscaping, and professional. Their deer prevention service has literally saved more of our plantings than I can count. I would urge anyone with a deer problem to contact them and let Bartlett show you the difference this service alone can make in any landscaping. I highly recommend Bartlett services to anyone who requires tree and shrub care, you will not be disappointed.

The trees in my community are a beautiful asset but they had begun to block views of the lake and a number of limbs had died. The POA Board contacted Vinny Rosette of Bartlett Tree Service to evaluate what was needed. Vinny did a very professional job of identifying our needs and presenting a clearly written reasonable estimate . The Bartlett Tree Service work crew was very careful not to damage our grounds while working. They were efficient and thorough throughout the process and left the grounds clear of debris. All questions were clearly and professionally answered. Comments from residents: "The trimming of the trees was a much needed expense and so worth it! The views now are wonderful and it makes Shoreline look so well kept! Thank you Board for voting to do this! " "WOW!! What a difference, The views are fabulous and they did a great job!!!" Thank you Bartlett for a job well done!

The service I received from Bartlett Tree experts was excellent. The arborist did an outstanding job of explaining the work that was needed on my trees. Everything was clear and straight forward. When I needed additional information, the administrative assistant was very responsive. To date I have had Bartlett staff at my house on three additional occasions. Twice they treated the roots of selected trees with liquid fertilizer or chemicals to combat root rot and protect them against future bettle attacks. On a third trip, they did significant pruning of three oak trees and a maple tree. This included installing cables in the top of two oak trees to prevent them from splitting at forks much lower in the trees. In all cases, the professionalism of the staff was outstanding. It was clear they had great expertise and knowledge for this work. I am extremely pleased with everything that has been done.

The Bartlett Crew did a phenomenal job. They were on time and notified us immediately upon arrival that they were getting started. They roped off the work area completely with caution tape and made sure my family and dogs stayed inside and away from their work area. The crew was very polite and even made friends with my rescue puppies Autumn and Lancer. Great job! Thanks Bartlett Team!
