They charge a small fee for a consult/estimate, but it was well worth it. Keith spent a lot of time discussing our tree situation as well as offering advice about other tree, schrub, and lawn issues. The tree removal itself was very efficient and the cleanup was great. Their cost was the same as another major tree service.

I foolishly thought I could dig out 3 massive oak tree stumps myself and attempted to do so for months before tapping out and chatting with Keith. A date was quickly set and Marcelo did such a thorough job, he even took apart the grinder to get it safely into our yard without destroying our fence. Now I can stop running my back and actually plant things in our new beds! So happy and wish I’d called Barrett’s years ago.

We have one substantial weeping cherry in our very small urban yard on our patio. We love the tree because it provides shade, privacy and a great place for the birds and other wildlife. We did not want to cut it down. It was out of control. Arborist Alden Johnson came out to provide advice prior to the first and 2nd time they pruned. The team Alden sent both times was excellent, friendly and professional. They cleaned up after on both our property and the neighbors property where the tree hangs over. It is not cheap to prune a tree in Boston. However, it was a much needed service for sure. I would recommend them for any job and they definitely know how to deal with Urban customers...(and urban trees)!
