I contacted this arborist, attached photos and never got a response. A simple ‘no thank you’ not interested would’ve been appreciated and appropriate. No response says volumes about how he conducts his business.

These are the arborists you want for your trees. Doug came out the same day, gave a very reasonable quote and chopped down the tree the next day. As the home owner, I already had my tree removal permit in hand and was ready to go. They were extremely affordable and had all the right tools to safely and efficiently remove my tree. Doug even showed me photos of ladder trucks he had that can remove trees 200 feet tall. Having dealt with other arborists over the years, I can say these guys are the most affordable and most professional I have hired. I'm glad to recommend them.

*** If living in the City of Portland you need a hard copy permit on cutting day.*** The city makes it a very confusing process and with the lack of communication makes it even harder. The reason for the three stars is that Doug did not double check this important detail, which he is required to do. I am now in trouble with the City of Portland for this, not a pleasant process and expensive. Aside from this huge mistake I was pleased with the actual work he and his crew did for me. I was quoted a reasonable price. Communication with Doug was friendly and respectful. I watched the process on cutting day. Doug and his team were skilled and worked swiftly. I was impressed. They cleaned as they went and left my property looking great. I would recommend them for your next tree project just make sure you double checks the permits!

We worked with Affordable Arbor on a chip drop. They were wonderful with their flexibility and accommodation and it went smoothly.

Doug came out after the ice storm and removed a tree that had split and was in a dangerous location. His crew was responsive, polite, quick and just amazing. They finished the clean up after dark. I was so impressed with the meticulous clean up efforts. They even blew the stuff off of the lawn.
