This was the second time we’ve had Acorn Arboricultural come out to prune and cut down some trees in our backyard. We tried several companies before finding Acorn and none of them even come close to their quality, Customer Service, professionalism, and pricing. From the time Arborist Phil came out to look at our trees and give us an estimate through the last day when the crew cleaned up, the customer service and communication have been impeccable. Staff members always answer the office phone and respond back in a timely manner via email. The crew that came out this time: Christian, Stanley, David, and Robert were amazing!!!! This job took 2 days to complete. Our house sits on a hill and most of the trees are situated down a steep hill. These guys worked so hard both days—cutting and pruning the trees and then hiking them up the hill to dispose of them… The work they performed was amazing…. additionally, they never complained once about walking up and down the hill. When I told them I apologize for such difficult situations, each one responded with a smile and said “Not a problem—thanks for picking Acorn!’ We stayed home the entire 2 days and we personally observed their great work ethic. Here are just a few of the observations that we think separate them from other tree companies: -They were punctual both days -Their safety procedures were wonderful-they constantly wore helmets, eye protection, and vests -The verbal communication among all of them was amazing—they knew what each one was doing at all times (especially when they were climbing trees) -They were all very respectful to us and to each other -They constantly worked hard during both days -They took extra care not to break our malibu lights and sprinklers as they traversed up and down our steep backyard hill -At the end of each day, they cleaned up the front and backyard—it looked like they were never there… In fact, I watched them as they actually went under tables and chairs to pick up small branches!! -They moved and replaced patio furniture as needed It should be noted that Acorn did not require any deposit… In fact, they did not ask for any payment until the job was completely finished. All of the above actions and their attention to detail makes Acorn a great company. As always, going forward we will only hire Acorn for all of our tree services…they are the Best!! We obviously highly recommend them and know you will not be disappointed if you hire them as well.

We moved into our house in Citrus Heights in 2001, and have used Acorn for our tree work for years. They've been out here many times, and every time was a pleasant experience with great results. When I had a giant acacia tree leaning out over the street and causing a hazard, they removed it expertly and cleaned up everything like nothing had ever happened. When our insurance company threatened to cancel our homeowner's insurance because we had trees hanging over the roof, Acorn came out and did a thorough and careful trimming that completely exposed the roof, yet left the trees healthy and strong. The insurance company renewed our policy, and it was all thanks to Acorn. We have a huge Chinese Elm tree that is constantly threatening to shade out our patio and which drops debris all over, and they have come out several times now over the past 24 years to clean it up and make it look gorgeous. Recently, squirrels girdled a huge branch hanging right over my greenhouse, threatening it with major disaster. The Acorn guys came over and did a masterful job cutting out the massive dead wood and lowering it to the ground with ropes. Not a scratch on my greenhouse and a safe, healthy tree remains! Overall, I highly recommend Acorn and all the guys that work there. They have always been so professional and hard-working, know how to safely trim trees, and always leave the area looking spotless afterwards. Now when I need tree work, I don't even bother calling anyone else - I just pick up the phone and dial Acorn.

We use Acorn every year to trim our many trees. They do an excellent job every time. First the scope of the work is decided with Jay Bate's consultation and recommendations. Then the crew very professionally does the trimming just as planned. I couldn't recommend them more highly.

Acorn has very knowledgeable arborists. I have had trees pruned beautifully, redwoods cabled, an orange tree and a crepe myrtle tree treated. But most impressive was a visit from arborist Wayne last year. I had a newly planted lime tree (planted by a landscaper) which was close to dying. I thought soil amendment? Too much/little water? Wayne looked at it thoughtfully and then informed me that the tree had been planted 4" too deep! He personally replanted it. This spring it just took off, producing all new leaves. It is now thriving. I don't think many people would have figured that out! On the same visit I asked Wayne questions about other trees in the yard and he was more than happy to discuss them at length with me. His knowledge is encyclopedic.

I have been using Acorn Arboricultural Services to do my annual tree pruning for many many years and cannot say enough good things about them. Their crews are all very knowledgeable and professional. They do a great job cleaning up. The office staff is very competent and friendly. Great company.
