A Notch Above Tree Service is a great local company for all your tree needs. The initial survey and quote was a very pleasant experience. Philip came out and walked the whole property, naming trees and their needs. And a couple times he said certain things didn't even need touched. I believe he was trying to meet our needs, but not take advantage of us and I appreciate that. He answered every single question I had! I wasn't able to have the work done for a while and I had to change the original plan several times to fit our budget and yard design plans. We connected probably 6 times over a month or two until we were finally ready and then scheduled the service. Philip was patient and understanding and really appreciated our need to budget and save up to pay him. He changed the quote back and forth several times without complaint. On the day of the job they showed up on time and even gave a courtesy reminder the day before. They were very prompt and polite. With little ones watching with excitement from indoors, I was very grateful to find Philip and his crew to be hard working and have very appropriate language and behavior for the kids. This is so important, as I want my kids to see you can be a hard working tradesman without sacrificing family values! They had two huge trees done by noon and their grappler to picked up the logs very efficiently. They remained on site to rake and clean up every last twig from the job. I was very impressed. A Notch Above Tree Service is a great company and we are already saving for them to have a fall cleanup on our property. If you want someone well informed, patient, and competent then they are the guys for you!

Philip came out listened to what I was wanting done. He explained how they would do the job made sure I didn't have any questions. Him and his A Notch Above Tree Service crew came out a week later. Philip made sure I didn't have any questions or concerns before they got started. They got right to work and within a few hours they had my trees down & cleaned up. They were all professional. I liked the fact they're a smaller local company. Also I appreciated before he left he made sure I was pleased with the job they did. Called for an estimate, and Phillip called back a day later, and we set up a time for him to come out. I wanted 3 pine trees that were about 45 feet tall. Phillip came out and gave me an estimate that was quite fair, and he explained what they would be doing. I went with his estimate and scheduled for the following week. Three days before, I got a text stating he would be there at 7am. Right at 7 am, I received a text that they were outside and beginning to work. At 11 am I received a text that they were all finished. When I got home, the trees were gone, and all the debris, sticks, and limbs were gone. I settled up the bill. Phillip was very polite and respectful, and at no time did he pressure for payment or even half up front. For stump removal, he will come at a later date. He said that when he has multiple to do, he does all those clients at once. I would recommend his company to any of my friends or family. If I were in need again, I would use A Notch Above Tree Service.

Philip and his team were a joy to work with on removing a large pine tree in my father-in-law’s back yard in Heath. His price was competitive, his team was efficient and the cleanup was impressive! Our worries are gone and so is the tree! I highly recommend A Notch Above Tree Service.
